VACCINATIONS: All vaccinations delivered by suitably trained pharmacists have always been covered by indemnity insurance as part of the standard PDA membership apart from Covid-19. For new membership renewals after January 1st, 2026, Covid-19 vaccinations are now also automatically covered.

    The PDA Union is disappointed to note that following several denials by Boots UK in recent months in response to media speculation about store closures, Walgreens Boots Alliance have today confirmed a plan to close 200 stores. The Union will be doing all it can to defend the employment of PDAU members.

As a result of that partnership, Trish Patel, the PDA’s Academic Liaison Officer, was proud to receive the ‘Supporter of the Year 2019’ award at the BPSA’s 77th Annual Conference, which took place at the School of Pharmacy, University of Nottingham.
